It doesn't crash into the facade but enters into the Pentagon. It's not an airliner, it's a weapon of destruction to enter into, and makes a big explosion, very short but very big, this is typical of a missile, not the fire from an airliner. Have other people in Europe responded to this Pentagon tape? T. First the news agency said the pentagon will release a video and that will end the polemic about the attack. After a few days people see the video, that it's nothing at all. All the press in Madrid say there is no Boeing and it means the Bush admin is lying just as it was lying about Madrid. In France a different reaction. The media are silent about it. It's too terrible to think the consequences of that. W. So the 911 story of the government is in deep trouble in Europe also. T. I think public opinion don't' believe any more, but the big media are totally in the hands of the neoconservatives. W. You were at this conference against the war in Iraq and Bush policies in Latin America. T. There is a huge movement against the war in Iraq in Spain now. We can't be allied with a country so aggressive and with such a government. W. Is there a movement in Spain or elsewhere to leave NATO? T. The first time I heard about that in a public conference. Chirac wants to make more ties with Russia, France and Russia have a joint task to make closer military cooperation. break W. Will Europe accept a new Cold War introduced by Cheney? T. We don't want it, and France will increase contacts with Russia. Defense ministers will meet regularly together to coordinate military and energy policy. France has good nuclear technology and Russia has great petroleum reserves. W. We saw that US-UK-Israel might plan to attack Iran as soon as June. T. That is the most crazy thing Bush might do. That will be a war not only with Iran. If Pres. Bush makes such a war, it means that all the petroleum market in the Gulf will collapse and the economies of Europe and also US will be very affected. it's a kind of suicide. W. Not only a general war but also a world economic collapse. T. Of course, Iran will immediately cut the transport from the Gulf. W. We also have the crisis of the US dollar and the question of a Russian oil market. break W. Is there a new oil currency on the horizon? T. In Iran there is a small but effective oil market in Iran, not in Tehran but in the Kish Island free exchange zone. French Total and Italian Agip are working in Euros, no more in dollars. From July 1, the rouble will be convertible and the new export contracts in Russian will be in rubles, no more in dollars. Hugo Chavez is planning to change the oil contracts from dollars to Euros to gold. It's a general movement in the world. It takes some time to change the contracts but the hegemony of the dollar is ended. The US will have to pay. The world refuses to carry the US debt any longer. W. There is a new coalition of countries to live without the US. For instance, new contacts between Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba, Latin countries with Russia and with the Holy See to organize a new financial system. It means as the US has completely denatured the global financial system, a new one is created now. break W. And you are writing a book on 911? R. Yes. I'm trying to put it in a criminal prosecution framework. Of course we lack a real prosecutor, like Jim Garrison in New Orleans, the only one who tried to try the domestic assassins, not a good precedent. Trying to follow Vincent Bugliosi's format, former LA County prosecutor famous for the Manson verdict, he won 105 out of 106 prosecutions, he has a book on prosecutions, I also have a son who has been a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney. I argue we have plenty of evidence to convict even without getting the culprits to give up more evidence. How good is our evidence? It's tremendously good. You have your book and know the body of evidence. The key is the prosecutor has to show that the unchallenged facts have no other reasonable explanation. We saw this in the Lay- Skilling trial even though the prosecution didn't have a lot of smoking guns. W. So Bugliosi has an approach... R. Yes. Also it provides some satisfaction to name some suspects. You preempt what the defense can show. Bring in one or two of the accused hijackers who are alive. You ask them in court, Are you alive, sir? You leave them with practically nothing. Then when they do come to the defense, you cross-examine them. break W. If it's not giving away too much, tell us some of these Bugliosi secrets, and if we can get to naming some of those perpetrators at the end. R. One side in a trial puts forth highly speculative or shaky evidence, and that shows the weakness of their case. Prosecutors have to disprove it or mock it. Don't allow the jurors to connect any dots. Do it all for them. When they go into deliberations, there is no other choice. With OJ Simpson it was a lesson in how not to do it. The jurors are the ultimate triers of fact. It's not the job of the prosecutors to answer all of the jury's questions. That trips up a lot of the 9/11 Truth community. You don't have to answer everything, you just need solid facts that leave no other choice. Of course thousands of criminals convicted every year, most of them guilty, and in almost none of these cases do the prosecutors know everything exactly how it happened. You only need to prove the elements beyond reasonable doubt - no other reasonable explanation. W. Also with the 9/11 Commission it's never proved, it's just assumed - begging the question. R. Right, the Commission didn't prove anything, they just assumed the case. You can see how the criminal justice system works, none of the people who served on the 911 commission could possibly serve in a criminal justice framework. They were all mobbed up. Zelikow was and is part of the Bush administration. Hamilton is a known cover-up artist. This could never be allowed in a high-visibility situation. But the dollar as a reserve currency, the only link with the commodity - i don't know about Iranian and Russian exchanges - W. All oil transactions have been conducted in Federal Reserve notes, not dollars, just fiat currency, Fed headed by Bernancke now, 2/3 of oil transactions are done in FRN. If you have oil business going into other currencies that does reduce demand for the dollar, if those other currencies get traction, the dollar is going to be a sick puppy and that will be the end of the free ride, we will actually have to earn our exports. break W. The critics, eternal detractors, in the circles that you moved in when you were in the Dep't of Labor or the Bush administration, have you got critiques from them that are worth refuting. R. I got hollers from some, have you flipped out, but nothing substantive. The most interesting one is the president of my university is Robert M. Gates very close to the Bush family and former DCI under Poppy Bush and recently when some notoriety came to me because of my analysis why the Towers collapsed and the university radio station where I worked for 28 years that whatever I say about 9/11 doesn't reflect views of university, then Gates had to pile on that "we all know what we saw - for anyone to suggest government complicity is beyond the pale." That was the best he could do when someone has a fact-laden analysis and just schmear it with that. W.
