Oil has been over $75, gold has been as high as $650. With gold, this is not peak oil, this is the hand of the financial oligarchs.
A violent contraction of production and employment in the US. Averaging 100,000 jobs destroyed per month. People are fighting about who gets these jobs, illegal immigrants or citizens. Let's not fight among ourselves, let's go after the oligarchs. GM and Ford posted losses of $1 bn and $3 bn in the first quarter. This is a breakdown crisis, an economic collapse worldwide.
Some people have been talking about dollar hyperinflation. We have to be cautious, we don't know the M3 money supply now, we don't know whether massive monetization of debt has been taking place. Some people have talked about this since 1995, I've not agreed but it may be happening now. Trade deficit in range of 2-3 bn a day, budget deficit pushing 1 trillion but the trade deficit is more dangerous, going on $1 trillion per year.
Index of 14 different commodities has gone up 27% last year, 24% this year and 15% in first couple weeks of this month. Not a shortage - copper is in glut but price still goes up. Iran, Venezuela are dumping the dollar, is talking to the Vatican about getting their holdings into the Euro. The Iranian oil bourse has been delayed but not cancelled by the anglo-american economic warfare behind the scenes. Norway's oil exchange is also talking about going over to the Euro. These would allow to break the monopoly of the $ over world oil, a Gulf and an Asian currency unit are being prepared. Other countries want to insulate themselves, Russia has some of the hugest reserves in dollars, they are working on a common market. Europe is trying to do something about their vulnerability, grave risk of disruption by hedge funds and derivatives, which are an important element of the crisis. Stampede for the exits has already begun. This propels the US-UK elites into more and more irrational dangers. This week, Bush was asked if he was considering a nuclear attack on Iran, he said, "all options are on the table." This is the height of irresponsibility, destroys the basis of the non=proliferation treaty. There is no basis now for the US to forbid Iran from having weapons because Iran has been threatened. Any country could now decide to do a first strike. Russia has decided that their sale of Tor anti-ballistic missiles is going to go through. There may also be an agreement between Russia and Iran on enrichment.
This would remove the pretext for war being cultivated by Condi Rice and the neo-con fascist madmen, this would be positive. There is a certain amount of naiveté on the Iranian side, a top Iranian official was quoted as saying that the piece by Seymour Hersh in the NYT was just psychological warfare. We'll go through some of the signs that war threat is indeed real. When we look at Bush statement that all options are on the table, this will be read by other powers in the context of the CFR-Foreign Affairs article about a first nuclear strike on Russia and China, the nuclear cakewalk, shades of the Iraq cakewalk we are seeing now. What if Russia has a doomsday machine? They did have one in the last years of the Cold War - what if they still do? Remember Mao's dictum, go to the top of the mountain and watch the tigers fight - China could pick up the pieces just from its demographic power. There is a whole series of considerations that we don't want tofind out about. These Strangeloves have to be shut down and their influence removed.
Visit of President Hu tothe White house which was a series of insults by Bush, like the visit of the Falun Gong lady, some of us remember another provocateur, some are speculating that the Falun Gong lady was really a Falun Gannon, a provocateur brought in expressly to create the incident with the president of China. The president is now preparing military plans to defeat China. As Eisenhower said, anyone who gets involved in a land war in China needs to have his head examined, and we have about 60,000 Vietnam war vets who wish that advice had been heeded.
Now to the preparations for war on Iran, some of these have already started. The Iranians claim they have shot down an unmanned aerial drone, a spy plane. Constant reports from Arabistan that the British Petroleum liberation front, terrorists trained in Basra by the British, some of them have been caught and hanged. The US, especially Cheney, have put more and more emphasis on the Khalq, and their leader, the terrorist Mata Hari, Miryam Rachavi, who has been drumming up support in Europe for the dismemberment of Iran.
There may be countervailing forces. On Monday we had a nerve gas alert in the Senate Office Bldg, the place was shut down for several hours, panic scenes, this is practically a routine now, every couple months. On Tuesday Bush made his statement about all options on the table. On Wednesday, Bush was about to take off to go to Tuskegee Alabama and it was suddenly found that Marine Corps One, his helicopter, would not take off. This was officially blamed on a malfunction of the radio. So Bush had to take a motorcade to Andrews AFB. Are there anti-neo-con forces in the Marine Corps who are announcing their presence? We'll have to follow that story but it's highly interesting.

People have been telling me the last week, around the Moussaoui trial, that my book is necessary to understand Moussaoui, why he has been putting his own neck further and further into the noose. You've got to understand the analysis, that he is a patsy. He is a psychotic, a double agent, a fanatic, a dupe, a useful idiot, but somebody who responds to manipulation from a case officer, a terrorist controller. So they are saying that the greatest help they've had in understanding Moussaoui, as well as the FBI witnesses, why they ignored all of the 70 or more warnings of a threat of something happening on 9/11, was this question of the moles, patsies and the professional killers which is the centerpiece analytically of that book. The sales of 911 Synthetic Terror on Amazon remain strong, you can also get it closer to home here at the RBN store, but you're not going to be able to tell the players in the next couple months without that analysis, the moles, the patsies, and the professional killers.
Now let's get back to Iran, the looming question of a wider war on Iran and beyond. Wm. Arkin in his column in the Washington Post this past week, has been writing about the war plan for Iran, it's call Tirrant. That Theater Iran Near Term, from Conplan 8002, the notion of being able to attack any target in the world within 12 hours. This is the nuclear sneak attack doctrine, called by some the New Tojo doctrine. The problem with it is the strategic weakness of the US Air Force and related forces that the only way to attack such targets is with nuclear weapons.
The British are making their preparations. Jack Straw is saying that the whole plan is nuts, unthinkable, well, don't look now, but in the Guardian we find that the British Ministry of Defence has announced that the US and UK are engaged in joint planning for the attack on Iran, it's called Operation Hotspur, code name for the US-UK future land operations task force directed against a hypothetical country named Corona, or Nair. Well, if you know your Shakespeare, you know Hotspur ends up killed, and not only killed, but mutilated after he's killed by a Fallstaff whom I guess we can identify with a drunken Dick Cheney. So that's not a very promising response at all.
The US is busily looking for a Quisling in Iran, somebody to be the new Chalabi, and it looks like the best they can do is this crazy Matahari from the mujaheddin, al Khalq.
A persistent Washington rumor says that the attack on Iran is planned for May 17th. Anybody's guess. We do know that on July 18th there is going to be a staff or sandbox exercise at the National Defense University - this is the National Strategic Gaming Center, a bulwark of utopian Strangeloves. They will have one on bird flu, one on Pakistan, and one on Iran. These are of course the types of exercises that can be flipped live. Remember the Hilex 75 exercise that almost turned into a confrontation with the Warsaw pact in the wake of the Vietnam era. We also have plans for a low yield conventional explosion in Nevada on June 2nd, supposed to terrify the Iranians. I guess they are thinking of Khruschev's 100 megaton explosion from October 1961 but there will be a disparity in the bunker-busting capacity. There is also a very important threat on the horizon which is the Chicago exercize. May 1,2 and 3rd, supposedly the Illinois National Guard, first of all a pandemic, not specified what. 2nd a chemical dirty bomb going off, and 3rd, a building collapsing as a result of the bomb. We'll see what kind of controlled demolition they may have up their sleeves. This is a classic example of the kind of exercise that can go live and turn into the real thing at any moment.
Of course we now have the half a dozen or more generals who have come forward, demanding the ouster, resignation, of Rumsfeld. Other generals less evident saying behind the scenes that it's not a question of whether he should be fired, but how he should be indicted and where he should be put on trial for his active participation in the lurid details of torture, getting into some really ugly details at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo. Gen. Janis Karpinski, my distinguished colleague on this network who you are going to hear when I go off, has been quoted on BBC and Reuters as saying that Iran is the underlying issue of the agitation ofthe anti Rumsfeld general, she's saying that "Stop this insanity" is actually the underlying message, and that's absolutely accurate and I would associate myself with this analysis 100%, and I can only say more power to them, let's have 6, 12, 100, 500, 1000 generals and admirals come forward
Some people are coming forward, Col. Sam Gardner of the Air Force, who gave a speech in Europe warning about this a couple weeks ago, has said that the decision to attack Iran has already been made and that the attack operations are already underway. Some members of US infiltrations teams have been captured. He says the Iranian retaliation will go mainly against Israel, and he thinks that what the range of the result of all this is set the Iranian program back by 2 years, or accelerate it. Richard Clarke and Steve Simon from the Clinton NSC said that after the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing they studied the question of attacking Iran, and they found that the global blowback made it not worth it. Some people are coming forward, think tankers like Richard Haas, Hartung, Cirincioni at the National Press Club to try to raise the alarm, some others, former Secretaries of State, top officials, have been calling for talks with Iran, and this makes sense. This includes people like Richard Armitage, Al Haig, James Baker III, negotiate directly with Iran, avoid war. Rafsanjani on the Iranian side is all for it, and has been saying so repeatedly. We've also go Scowcroft, in the Australian, saying there is no point in courting confrontation with Iran, what is needed is a new international fuel cycle regime, and that nobody can be denied of their rights for peaceful nuclear energy.
We have some signs that the revolt of the generals is spreading into the CIA. This is something from the Harper's Blog, and let me stress that the terminology here is all theirs, it's from a guy called Silverman, who says, inside the CIA now there are two factions, there is a Wehrmacht (army) faction, of traditionalists, who don't want to be involved in secret prisons, black sites, renditions, torture, and the rest, they refuse to touch any of that, and there's an SS (storm troop) faction that's willing to go along with the neocons. The ruling passion of the Wehrmacht faction is thought to be fear of indictment, because these things are all of course illegal.
The neocons at the Weekly Standard with William Kristol, the cakewalk warmongers of 2003 are back, with a special issue calling for war with Iran. We have Royal Mark Grecht (spelling?) and also the utopian warmonger Lt. Gen. Thos. Miccanerni (spelling?) saying it's time to target iran. Condi Rice is on the war party side, she's calling for Chapter 7 measure against Iran. Blowback against her today is that she is reported to have leaked top secret material to the Aipac spies and is therefore on the indictment list herself.
The US-India nuclear deal which was supposed to cement an alliance between the US and India against Russia and China, clearly enough, and against the Arab world, is in big trouble not just on the US congressional side, but also on the Indian side. India says they will not give up their right to have future nuclear tests. However, India has just announced it's moving its fighter jets into Tajikistan, former Soviet Republic in Central Asia. This suggest that there are elements in India who are willing to be the dagger of the US against the Shanghai Cooperation Organization - Russia, China, Iran and some other Central Asian states.
On the side of Germany, the new chanceller Angelica Merkel is apparently cooling towards the neo-cons. She now says that the attacks against Russia are overdone. She's going to go to Russia on the 27th of April and she wants this to be a success, and she has endorsed Russia's efforts to keep the US oil multis out of the Russian market, she says it would be wrong to have a sellout to US oil interests.
And we have a Russian complaint to the United States on a series of conference held by the Jamestown Foundation, which called, here on US territory, for new terror attacks against the US under the guise of liberating subject peoples.
And finally we have the Moussaoui trial, getting to the end this week in Alexandria, again the notion here is that Moussaoui is the psychotic patsy, this is what I write about in my book, 9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in USA. Moussaoui keeps repeating, George Bush will exchange me, and that will save my life. I can only say, this is clearly what his terrorist controllers have been tellling him. So that's our intelligence briefing for the week and now we turn to a great honor and I think really a rare treat for our listeners, a chance to really learn a lot from one of great pioneers of 911 Truth Movement, Thierry Meyssan

TM. A lot of people exchanged their experiences in organizing for peace. For instance an Arab delegate and one from Ecuador about the school for torture set up by the Mossad in Ecuador. The same people are going to do the same things in other countries. We had a workshop about how the neocons are using evangelical missionaries to overthrow native cultures. Delegates from several parts of the world telling how missionaries are organized by the White House, and how they work all over the world.
WGT - there was a delegate from Venezuela, from Poland, and Gen. Ivashov from Russia with him remarks on terrorism
TM. He was the chief of armed forces in Russia on 9/11. He says the Russian forces were watching North America because of the large military exercises being carried out by the US that day, so they saw in real time by satellite what was happening on that day.

TM When they heard about the attacks, Pres. Putin tried to call Bush to tell him that the Russians were not involved. He was not able to reach him. But they understood already that the collapse of the buildings could not have been done by the planes. They already realized it was controlled demolition - an internal problem and not an external attack.
WGT - in terms of the Axis for Peace, how do you see it going forward?

WGT After 9/11, you were the first expert in the world to offer a high profile alternative critique to the official version. How did you arrive at this, how was it for you on 9/11?
TM. A lot of information was not available about exactly what happened at the Pentagon. On the news coming from AFP there was first one explosion, then another explosion, then a long time after that they said a commercial airliner hit the Pentagon. So the chronology there is not the same as the official one. So I wanted to know were there different attacks or only one? I collected a lot of photos from different media, I had a meeting with specialists, architect, airline pilot, fire engineer, and I asked them, how do you explain the attack - was it only one or two different attacks. Then they said, Where is the plane. Suddenly we realized that the attack couldn't have been done by a plane, but only by an insider.
WGT. You started with the AFP dispatches and they showed an explosion in the Pentagon before any airliner.
TM. There were four wires, first two were about two different explosions, an hour between them, the third about a plane approaching and the fourth about an airliner hit the Pentagon.
WGT. You were also a world leader in advancing the idea that the Bush White House believed they were dealing with a military coup.
TM. One of the major newspapers published testimony from the White House about the use of a secret code by terrorists calling the White House to present a list of demands, accompanies by top secret code words. This code is only held by top military in the Pentagon.
WGT So the Bush people thought it was an internal military code.
How did this play out during the day?
TM. We don't know, but when Bush got to Offutt, he had a special video conference with officials in Washington, and the problem ended, so something was decided during this conference.
WGT. How did US government, the State Dept respond to your critique?
TM. First they said I would not be allowed to go your country any more. Then Ms. Clark of State Dept said that if any journalist talks about my book in the US they will not be allowed to attend press conferences at the Pentagon. They published on their website a page trying to refute my book. Also the FBI published a few photos of the Pentagon during the attack.
WGT A couple days before one of Meyssan's book was going to appear the FBI published a few frames but still you can't see any plane, there is just smoke. So the US Gov't is not happy. How about French public opinion, mainstream newspapers.
TM. All the papers are very hard on me, but the public opinion supports me. Different situation in each country. In Spain, El Mundo said my book was the most complete.

WGT. let me mention two of Thierry Meyssan's books, Pentagate and The Big Lie, are on Amazon, they deserve to be better known. So the difference with Italy.
TM. One of the main TV channels in prime time in Italy said there was no plane at the Pentagon. The south of Europe the people are quick to catch on, but in the North they refuse the criticism. My work is well received in the Arab world, in South American. Blackout in England.
WGT. The Anglosaxons are hard to reach.
TM. Yes they identify with the official version
WGT. How would you evaluate the chances of a US attack on Iran, and do you think it could be an atomic attack?
TM. If we look at this question reasonably, it is not possible to attack iran, it would be immediately a war with Russia. The Iranians will cut off the flow of oil from the Gulf. The problem is that the neocons are not rational at all. Their philosophy of leo Strauss for instance. They want to provoke a big war to be sure to be the world leader at the end of the war.
WGT. When Bush wanted to attack iraq, Chirac opposed him. Today France seems to be supporting. What happened?
TM. it's not exactly like that. After the war, the US organized a big opposition to Chirac in France. He is very weak with this opposition. Now it's changing. Last week Chirac and Villepin called for negotiations with Iran and to support the Palestinian Authority, and to stop Israel from supporting an attack on Iran.

WGT - last November there were huge riots in France that were blamed on Muslims - was this angloamerican intellligence provocation?
TM. Muslims were not necessarily involved, it was people from the suburbs. of course we see the involvement of the anglo americans. At first it was only in 4 places. Then in many places you had arson in many places without any demonstrations. organized to detabilize the government.
WGT. what do you think about the bird flu?
TM. the vaccine is produced by a company partly owned by Rumsfeld, but it is not at all effective.

TM. It will probably be in Switzerland.
Paula Will it be like a tribunal about 911?
TM. yes it's also possible to organize a trial. our problem outside the US is not exactly the same. for you it is to judge the criminals. for us it is to stop the neocons. 911 is past, we are frightened about what they can do now. war in Iran, war in Syria, threatening last week Italy to organize a coup against Romano Prodi.
WGT. Does he know about the 27 trillion dollars.
TM. There was a discussion about Reagan and $27 trillion in Russia. perhaps this is the key issue?
WGT. I feel 911 is still key as the only way of taking away their base of 35% of terrified citizens. The trillion thing i think is too complicated to get into. Also I thank Thierry for his preface. And don't forget Thierry's books, Pentagate and Big Lie.

Also the CFR, Brzezinski, has been criticized about his book Grand Chessboard, was anyone concerned having the CFR guy there? Was it a problem having the spokesman from the CFR at your conference.
TM. he wasn't a spokesman for the CFR, but a member, a lot of people are members of different clubs. It doesn't mean he accepts all the ideas of the CFR.
WGT. yes, many of his contributions were quite valuable

TM. statistics about public opinion in Europe, about 30% think 911 is an inside job. In the Arab world, it's about 93% say its an inside job. But we don't have statistics about what the elite think in the different countries. In my experience in Europe, a lot of people in the government and the military are questioning now. Before not, but it's beginng. I think in Latin American and Arab world, everyone in the government knows.
Mike. if 911 can be unmasked, the new world order agenda can be stopped, and thank you. Mr. Tarpley, do you feel you have to take precautions for your safety?
TM. Yes, i receive a lot of threat mails, but my situation is easier than yours because i am not in the US. If someone will be paid to try to kill me, I will be protected by my government, But researchers in the US have no protection at all.
WGT. yes i guess that's about the size of it.
Mike. terrorism worldwide is all sponsored by the intelligence agencies, the governments, mossad, kgb, are all working for the international banks.

DJ. A US military official said Cheney wanted the USAF to stand down and he referred to 911 as a coup d'état.
TM. Of course this is right. On 911 an order was given to the USAF to stay on the ground. No forces were in the air. That had to be Cheney's order because Bush was not around. Cheney was in charge. Yes of course it's a coup d'état, it's a long process in the US, during years and years there is a transformation of your country, your media, how politics work, that coup d'état is not a surprise, it's the end of a long process.
WGT. Last question i would have for TM is how can we avoid general war?
TM. First is that you in the US should arise to awake people to 911 truth. Second is a great coalition all over the world to refuse to aid the US military to continue their plans. The US armed forces are very dependent on support of different countries, with external bases all over the world, they need that support to organize general war. if we can persuade these countries we can deprive the US of its offensive potential by setting up a front of peaceful states.
WGT. Is it time to get rid of NATO?
TM. NATO is a means for the US to control the armies of other countries. of course we are opposed to the continuation of NATO.
